Summer in Sunny California

Hey guys! Thanks for checking out my new blog :)
This summer has really been relaxing and refreshing at the same time. Its great to find myself on the couch once in a while, just able to sit back and munch on some Cheetohs without having to worry about the next day's assignments. Over the summer, I have found myself appreciating what California has to offer. I am blessed to call this sun-kissed land my home.

Ever since the beginning of June, I have already put together a list of things to do and places to go for this summer. My definite top three...
1. Santa Monica Beach
2. Skyzone
3. Catch up with my movies!

Challenge accepted.

Big Bear Retreat

This weekend I embarked myself on a spiritual journey. Completely taken out of my usual routine of life, I was able to see life from a totally different perspective. Examples of this would be waking up at 6 am each day and hiking miles of a beautiful mountain. I went on this retreat with a team of kids ranging from ages 15-18 years old from my youth group at church. Together we learned the meaning of sisterhood and brotherhood. Since we stayed in a cabin, aside from hiking to Castle Rock, we spent time with each other as we learned from our ministry advisors gave us workshops. These workshops taught us how to be a better follower of God. There are so many things that they have taught me that I have definitely neglected in my religious life. I am so grateful to be surrounded by such a optimistic group of ambitious people. God has truly blessed me.
